Corona virus Statement, 4th July 2020
Treak Cliff Cavern will re open on Saturday 4th July 2020, with some changes!
After operating in more or less the same way for 75 years, the Corona virus pandemic has forced us to amend our operations for the business to survive. The tours of the Cavern have become Self-Guided Audio tours on your own Smart phone via an App and delivered via Blue tooth beacons through the cave. This is just the start of using new technology, so we can welcome visitors back whilst meeting government restrictions and guidelines!
You will need to book on line to be sure of reserving your own Social Bubble timed entry slot. We will accommodate walk-in visitors where we can, and contact details will be required. If we are fully booked walk in visitors will be turned away. Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment!
Social distancing measures are in place throughout the site, which we ask you to adhere to for the protection of everyone, and you may need to queue for the shop, or to look in the museum.
We look forward to seeing our visitors, but do contact us if you have any questions at all.
News, Activities and Events at Treak Cliff Cavern
The Polish Your Own Blue John Activity is available, preferably booked as an ‘add on’ after you book your Cavern tickets at £4.50 per stone.
The Carols By Candlelight event will NOT be held in 2020 due to the Social Distancing Rules. However, we ARE creating Self guided ‘The Cavern at Christmas’ tours using the Smartphone App. The cavern is decorated for Christmas, and there is a Christmas Rocks Trail quiz, ‘Make Your Own Blue John Christmas Decoration’ activity and the full ‘Blue John Stone Experience’. Check the booking page for all the details and different availability.
